Encouraging Children To Take a Bath

There are a great many children who very much dislike bath time. Some may think they have better things to do, some might enjoying being dirty and some may just not like being wet. As anyone who has children will know, they can be mightily stubborn so trying to force them to do anything will always end in misery. All is not lost though. Using a few great tricks, you can soon have your child not only bathing regularly but also enjoying it. Here are 3 of the best.

Bath with them.Introducing your child to a bath can be a little scary, but you can make it significantly less so by getting in with them. They way parents react in different environments directly influences how their children will react also. If you are calm and seem to be enjoying yourself in the water, your children will associate the bath with fun and will not be fearful.

Toys.Toys can be an invaluable tool in your efforts to persuade kids to agree to bathing. There is such a vast selection and many bath toys are things that children don’t get to play with normally. Rubber ducks, submarrines and water pistles are a few but there really is endless choice.Try taking your kids to the store and let them choose which play toy they want to use when they bath. You can bet your bottom dollar that they will want to play with something they picked out

Ritual. When you have settled into a routine that both child and parent enjoy, it is vital that you do not change it. Kids love routine and once they feel secure with something, they will very rarely start to kick up a fuss again. If you follow each bath time with bed time story, with your child tucked in bed with their baby dolls, they will sleep well and nighttimes will always run smoothly
